How to Plan the Perfect Trip to Aruba

I wanted to put together my top travel tips for Aruba, ready for you just in case you’re planning a trip there anytime soon. Read on for all the best Aruba advice on the internet This time last year I was fresh back from my week’s trip soaking up those rays and exploring as much of the island as possible. Such an incredible week.

Aruba is a Dutch island, but in the Caribbean. When I think about my week in Aruba I think of how colourful it was, the stunning blue waters, the amazing food, the amount of things to do, and the beautiful coastline. If you haven’t been to the country you might just think of Aruba beaches and flamingos, but there’s a lot more to a holiday in Aruba than that.

Where exactly is Aruba located?

In the Caribbean, Aruba is located close to Curacao and is just around 20 kilometers (about 15 miles) from the coast of Venezuela. Viewing this map of Aruba can help you find your bearings. On a day when the sky is clear, Venezuela may be seen beyond the ocean.

To what extent does Aruba belong to the Netherlands?

Certainly, Aruba is a Dutch territory and a member of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which also includes the islands of Curacao and Saint Maarten, in addition to the Netherlands itself.

If you were born in Aruba, you do not just have Dutch citizenship but also Dutch citizenship.

Is it legal to use marijuana in Aruba?

Do not! You are unable to do so. The fact that Aruba is a part of the Netherlands does not imply that it is legal to consume marijuana on the island. When it comes to visitors, marijuana is completely prohibited in Aruba, and those who are caught using it face severe penalties, or if they are fortunate, fines.

For what is Aruba famously known?

Aruba has earned a reputation for being one of the Caribbean islands with the highest level of development. With a trip to Aruba, you will have the opportunity to take part in yoga courses, vegan diets, a laid-back American atmosphere, and an abundance of aloe vera, which is farmed on the island.

Aruba is well-known for its beaches; in fact, Aruba's beaches are among the most stunning in the world, and since the island is so large, there are a wonderful variety of beaches to select from.

Moreover, it is famous all over the globe for its flamingos.

The flamingos are located in Aruba; where can I view them?

When I was in Aruba, I did not spot any flamingos. Yes, I had the intention of doing so when I was making plans to travel, but after I arrived, I realized that it wasn't exactly the most environmentally beneficial thing to do (for more information on this topic, check out my piece on responsible tourism). To put it simply, there are just a few flamingos, but hundreds of people visit them each year to feed them and snap photos with them. It is not really very good for the happiness of the flamingos at this point, is it?

However, it is up to you. Who am I to pass judgment?

It is imperative that you arrive to Flamingo Beach from the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino in a timely manner if you are interested in seeing flamingos while you are on the island of Aruba. And when I say early, I mean about seven in the morning for the greatest photographs.

For my trip to Aruba, what should I bring with me?

The process of packing for Aruba is really rather straightforward: just bring beachwear!

I am providing you with a comprehensive packing list for the Caribbean that you may use. Your swimwear and something lovely and cool to wear in the evening are the two most important things you need to keep in mind.

Sun cream with a high sun protection factor (SPF) should be brought with you to Aruba since the island is quite hot.

Which beaches in Aruba are considered to be the best?

My personal favorite beach in Aruba was Baby Beach, despite the fact that the well-known Eagle Beach is sometimes ranked as the greatest beach in the whole world. THE VERY BEST!

That I was able to remain on it at the Amsterdam Resort, where I was staying for the week, was a stroke of good luck. However, Baby Beach in St. Nicolas was a lot more laid-back, and it included a particularly shallow bay that was perfect for standing in when you needed to cool off in the scorching heat. I would recommend going down to the beach if you find that the temperature is too high in Aruba.

Located higher up in Arikok National Park, in addition to the picture-perfect sandy beaches, there are also more rough beaches that are perfect for going on outdoor excursions. If you are interested in seeing the attractions of Arikok National Park with someone who is knowledgeable about the park, you can arrange a hiking trip throughout the park here.

Which restaurants in Aruba are the best?

If you want to know which meal in Aruba is the greatest, the answer will depend on who you ask. A week was not nearly enough time to provide a conclusive response to this question; nonetheless, I would want to use this opportunity to expose you to some of the most excellent restaurants that I visited during my stay in Aruba.

Food in Aruba: what is it?

Therefore, when you go to Aruba, you can anticipate experiencing a wide variety of cuisines from around the world. During my trip to Aruba, some of the meals that I enjoyed the most were the sushi at Sensi, the poke bowl on the beach, and the prawns at Zeerovers. This brunch at Craft, which is located on the main strip in Palm Beach, was also rather delicious.
